Visiting the website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. Fonts, images and videos are all served from this server; no other service is contacted when you read a page.
The website is hosted by Metanet AG in Switzerland. Like every web server, it keeps technical log files of requests (IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system) to run the service and keep it secure. These logs are not combined with other data and are deleted by the hosting provider after a limited time.
"Keep me posted"
On the product pages and the homepage you can register to hear about a game or book, and optionally about all new games. We store:
- your first name, last name, email address and country,
- which product you signed up for, the platform of the page, and whether you want news about all new games,
- the time you signed up, confirmed and, if so, unsubscribed,
- if you came through a link with a source tag (for example
?src=x-27in a post), that tag — it only tells us which post or link brought you here, - a one-way, salted hash of your IP address, used only to limit abuse (at most 10 sign-ups an hour from one address). Your IP address itself is not stored.
We use this data only to send you news about what you chose. Your registration counts only after you confirm it with the link in the mail we send you (double opt-in). Registrations that are not confirmed are deleted after 30 days.
The data is kept in a database on our hosting provider's servers in Switzerland, and the mails are sent from that server. Nobody else gets your data; it is never sold or shared.
You can unsubscribe at any time with the link on the confirmation page or in our mails, or by writing to us. After you unsubscribe we keep your email address marked as unsubscribed, so that you do not get mails again. If you want it removed completely, write to us and we delete it.
VEXXON buyers
If you bought VEXXON, we use the details of your order (name, email and shipping address) to deliver it, to give you access to your personal download area with the code you received, and to show the shipping status on the order tracking page. We keep them as long as needed for delivery, support and the retention periods required by law.
As a buyer you also get our news about VEXXON and about new games. Every mail lets you unsubscribe, and you can also just write to us.
Links to other websites
Links to YouTube, Substack and other websites take you to services with their own privacy policies. Nothing is loaded from them until you follow a link.
Legal basis
We process your data under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): the sign-ups on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), VEXXON orders to fulfil the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and the server logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Your rights
You can ask what data we have about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its use, get a copy of it, and withdraw your consent at any time for the future. Just write to the address above. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority: in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in the EU the authority of your country.
